Description
We will review some aspects of isothermal fluid spheres in Newtonian gravity and discuss their General Relativistic generalization concentrating mostly on negative pressure fluids. Some interesting features of such fluid spheres in asymptotically de-Sitter background will be presented. A further extension to case of a particular type of anisotropic fluid (motivated by considering static spherically symmetric scalar fields) will be discussed.
