'Global Nanophotonics 2018' at TIFR, Mumbai during 9-12 December, 2018

Global Nanophotonics (GNP), is a JSPS Core-to-Core program, to promote collaborative research on nanophotonics among 11 different countries across the world.

Global Nanophotonics 2018 (GNP2018) is an international symposium to promote research in the vast field of nanophotonics on a global platform. This is the 3rd conference in the series. The previous GNP meetings were held at Osaka, Japan (GNP2016) and Palawan, Phillipines (GNP2017).

Recently, the nanophotonics community has grown remarkably and many groups have achieved impressive results. It will be the right time to discuss these new and interesting achievements during the GNP2018, which will bring together academicians and scientists interested in the latest developments in the field of nanophotonics. The symposium will address the fundamentals and applications of multidimensional fields of photonics and nanophotonics, ranging from materials to biological applications. The scientific program will include invited talks, a special discussion and a poster session. The conference will also emphasize on active participation of students and young researchers, both from India and abroad.

This will also be the 4th Discussion meeting in India after MetaIn 2009 (Hyderabad), ICTS Discussion Meeting on Plasmonics and Nanophotonics 2012 (Discussion Meeting 2012) which were organized in Hyderabad, India and the one in Goa in 2015 (Discussion Meeting 2015). These discussion meetings are envisaged to bring together young and active researchers from within India.
