Description |
Scientists use plastic balloons as a vehicle to carry their middle atmosphere, Astronomy, Astrophysics and Astrobiology payloads to an altitude where the atmospheric noises are less. Once the balloon is air-borne we need to establish two way radio link between the air-borne sub-systems and ground control system. Communication link between air-borne to ground control is called Down link (Telemetry) and the communication link in other direction is called Up-link (Tele-Command). My talk covers Telemetry, Tele-Command and Safety sub-systems which are used for conducting balloon flights. |
