Description
We use the AdS/CFT correspondence to compute the effective equations of super fluid dynamics in a particular model including dissipative terms at first order in the derivative expansion and at non negligible superfluid velocities. Our results turn out not to quite fit within the apparently standard 13 parameter Putterman formalism for dissipative terms in superfluidity. Purely within fluid dynamics we generalize Putterman's formalism to a 14 parameter set of equations. Our gravitational results fit perfectly into the revised formalism.
