Media Lab Asia has been working for bringing the benefits of Information and communication technologies to the doorsteps of common man, specially in the areas of agriculture and livelihood enhancement, healthcare, differently abled and last mile connectivity etc. The experiences of Media Lab Asia in the development, field testing and efforts in field deployment will be shared and discussed. 



About Dr. G.V.Ramaraju:

Dr. G.V.Ramaraju has more than 30 years of Research and R&D planning and management experience in different areas including ICT for development, Microelectronics, MEMS, Nanotechnology and VLSI design. He has also been responsible for formulating and initiation of the "IT Research Academy" programme for capacity and capability building of R&D in ICTE in the country. 

Dr. Ramaraju is heading the Nanotechnology Initiatives Division at the Department of IT, where he is responsible for promotion of R&D and outreach in this area. He is also passionately engaged in the deployment programmes of Media Lab Asia in the areas of ICT.
