Information about - Rise Prize

On National Science Day (28th February, 2014) we launched the Rise Prize, an award to promote and nurture ground-breaking innovations from India. The Rise Prize is a prestigious initiative on a national scale. Through it, we hope to recognize and reward innovation, and draw national media attention to the great breakthroughs that emerge from India. And in the process elevate a Made in India to world-class.

With a total of USD 1 million on offer, the Rise Prize is structured into two challenges.

1. 	Driverless Car Challenge: An innovation to revolutionize driving on Indian roads.

2. 	Solar Challenge: An innovation to make rooftop solar adoption a reality through an Affordable Small-Sized DIY Rooftop Solar Kit.
