Description
There has been a time when Lectures, Excercises and Lab sessions where
the Trinity for science education. This model is so deeply rooted that
many of us cannot imagine any other approach. There is objective proof,
however, that the learning gain of students in the traditional teaching
model is far from optimal. Flipped-classroom teaching is a way to
increase the learning gain significantly. It does not require more time
from students and teachers, but it requires them to invest their time
and efforts in a different way.

In this seminar I will explain the method, and report on the results we
achieved while using it (including an ongoing course at TIFR where the
flipped-classroom approach is being used).
