Meeting: 30 January-2 February, 2016 at Lonavala, Maharastra
  • To provide a common platform for the C. elegans researchers in India for interaction, forging collaboration and community building.
  • To provide international exposure to the Indian Ph.D. students and post-doctoral fellows.  Several well-established C. elegans scientists from abroad will participate in this meeting.  These faculty have been carefully chose to have overlapping interests with several Indian groups.  The local students, post-doctoral fellows and junior scientists will have plenty of opportunities to present their work in both talks and posters.  We hope this will foster interactions and provide them feedback from these senior scientists.

Workshop: 28-29 January, 2016 at TIFR, Mumbai
  • To help young researchers acquire new C. elegans-specific technical skills and exchange technical tips. For this specific purpose, the proposed meeting has a dedicated two day workshop before the meeting begins. The instructors will include faculty from the Indian community, Prof. Bhagwati Gupta McMaster University (Canada) and a 2-3 senior graduate students from some of the labs in India.  Workshop participants limited to 25 people due to space constraints in the Koushika lab where the workshop will take place.
