Description |
In this talk I will highlight results obtained from the Cosmic Origins Spectrograph (COS), installed on the Hubble Space Telescope last May. COS is 10--30 times more sensitive than previous UV spectrographs on Hubble at a resolution of ~ 20,000. I will describe some first results from observations made with COS by the Instrument Team, especially in the areas of the Intergalactic Medium and Extra-Solar Planets |
