Koyaanisqatsi: Fluctuations and Dissipation

I will describe somewhat broadly the non-linear fluctuation dissipation relations that follow from the Gibbs distribution in quantum systems. We will see that this analysis suggests some natural observables that appear to carry some useful information about the process of thermalization. I will also touch upon the nature of hydrodynamic fluctuations in near-equilibrium situations and speculate about the general out-of-equilibrium situation.
