Description
We know about the light with plane and spherical wavefront generated through different sources of light. However, due to phase singularity in light fieldcan generate helical wavefront and consequently the orbital angular momentum, which is different from spin angular momentum associated with circular polarization. This unusual property can be observed in fiber modes and these modes are called as OAM modes. These modes can be considered for data transmission. In this talk, I will discuss about the OAM of light and problem we faced to excite OAM modes in our specialty fiber.
