Description
The most compelling mandate of the LHC experiments now is to measure the couplings of the Higgs precisely. This is absolutely necessary for the characterization of Higgs as well as for investigation of physics beyond standard model. While the LHC experiments have already measured the Higgs-bottom quark Yukawa coupling (yb) using associated production of Higgs with Z, production through vector boson fusion process is expected to yield better result, though experimentally more difficult. In this talk, we shall present the preliminary results after analyzing the data collected by the CMS experiment in 2018. In the second part of the talk we shall focus on the prospect of measuring the self-coupling of Higgs (𝜆) via non-resonant production of Higgs pair. At the end, we shall also discuss some of the aspects of measurement of missing transverse energy in CMS experiment.
