Description
Aimed at both experts and novices in any technical computing field, this talk will showcase the breakthroughs that broaden Mathematica's scope and explore its global impact on a wide range of areas, from engineering and finance to research and education. A comprehensive account of Mathematica's key capabilities and its core design principles will be discussed including topics of interest like graphics and visualizations, ready-to-use teaching models, Mathematica as a symbolics and numerics tool, in-built parallel processing capabilities, Mathematica's integrated data sources, built-in documentation and numerous resources available to teachers and researchers. Wolfram|Alpha, the unique, next-generation computational knowledge engine developed and deployed entirely in Mathematica will be introduced. In addition, a wide variety of practical and theoretical applications of Mathematica will be discussed.
