Description
The radiative decay of 𝐵-meson to the 𝐾 ∗𝛾 final state is forbidden at tree level in the standard model (SM) and proceeds dominantly through one-loop 𝑏 → 𝑠𝛾 diagram. Extensions of the SM predict new particles that can contribute to the loop and alter the branching fraction as well as other observables from their SM predictions, making the decay an excellent probe for such models. We present a study based on collision data recorded by the Belle II experiment at the SuperKEKB 𝑒 +𝑒 − collider.
