Description
Traditional dark matter (DM) search signatures at colliders include a standard model (SM) particle recoiling against a pair of invisible particles. With the discovery of an SM-like Higgs boson, it has become possible to search for DM produced in association with the Higgs boson. A search for DM particles produced along with a Higgs boson is presented using data collected by the CMS experiment during its Run-2 operation. A journey of seven long years, from the inception to improvements and different phases of the search resulting in three journal publications (fourth one coming soon) will be discussed. The results obtained are presented for mainly three benchmark simplified models Z'-2HDM, baryonic-Z' model, and 2HDM+a.
