Description |
In this talk, I am going to discuss how the low-energy quasiparticles of graphene acquire Dirac-like properties. This will be followed by a discussion of unconventional physics which originates from these quasiparticles with focus on two specific cases. The first of these is the physics of graphene junctions and the second is the theory of STM spectroscopy of graphene. I shall demonstrate that in each of these cases the Dirac nature of the low-energy quasiparticles is the key to understanding such unconventional behavior. |
