Description
The Universe at very large scales (much bigger than a galaxy) appears to show intricate structure known as the cosmic web of the Universe. We have observed cosmic web through galaxies and black holes in them, covering large volumes. One of the current frontier of astrophysics is about making largest map of our Universe with exquisite details. This has allowed us to discover many interesting corners of the Universe, observe the physical effects proposed by theoretical models and hence refining our understanding of the physics that operates. In this talk, I hope to discuss the process of creating largest maps of Universe and our efforts to understand the structures in such a map. This has promise to shed light on several of the central questions in cosmology such as physics of dark matter, masses of neutrinos, limitations of general relativity and initial conditions of the Universe.
