MKCL’s Focus has been to help millions of common people in bridging the Digital Divide, Knowledge Divide and Career Opportunity Divide, to help make a confident entry into the 21st century Knowledge Society and Knowledge Economy. MKCL reaches out to the masses through its public private community network of over 10,000 Authorized Learning Centers across the country. A capacity building of the youth is done through offering 100’s of 21st century relevant courses. Through its flagship offering, Maharashtra State Certificate in Information Technology (MS-CIT), it has made over 1.5 crore people IT Literate in the last 20+ years.

About the Speaker:
Veena is a Major in Economics from Mumbai University and has done her MBA in International Finance from University of Alaska USA. She has worked with the University of Alaska Alumni Association during her stay there. After staying in the US for over 15 years, she moved to India in 2000. She taught International Business in MBA school and worked for a small stint in the International Institute of Information Technology. Subsequently she joined Maharashtra Knowledge Corporation (MKCL). She started with this company from its day of inception with only a staff of 4 people and has risen to be the Managing Director that has an employee strength of 400 and a network size of over 10,000 centers across the country with more than 50,000 people working in it. She has served on several National and International Boards, MKCL Foundation and is a Member, Governing Body, Science and Technology Resource Center, Gondwana University, Gadchiroli.
