Lectures on Experimental Flavor Physics (2/4)

by Prof. Guy Wilkinson (University of Oxford, UK)

Wednesday, September 6, 2023 from to (Asia/Kolkata)
at TIFR Mumbai ( AG 80 )
Description Guy Wilkinson is an experimental physicist who studies CP-violation, which is the difference in behaviour between matter and antimatter, and related open questions of the Standard Model of particle physics. He tackles these challenges through measurements of rare processes involving the decays of hadrons containing beauty or charm quarks.  Guy has worked on several projects which have made great progress in this quest, and was a founding member the LHCb experiment on the Large Hadron Collider at CERN, which he led as Spokesperson between 2014 and 2017.

Lecture 1 : Where to study flavour and how to do it.
Lecture 2 : Unitarity Triangle metrology and CPV measurements.
Lecture 3 : New Physics searches through studies of Flavour-Changing Neutral Currents (and other processes).
Lecture 4 : Charm physics, and future prospects for experimental flavor studies
