Description |
Neutron stars feature matter compressed to densities comparable to nuclear densities. Under these conditions, we expect matter to have remarkable properties. For example, the inner crust of neutron stars is expected to consist of a lattice of ions together with unbound neutrons in a superfluid phase. I will discuss how the presence of superfluid neutrons can affect the thermal properties and the spin of neutron stars. |
