Description
It has been conjectured that the eternal AdS black hole is dual to two entangled copies of a CFT. But such a dual map leads to contradictions when we consider the process of Hawking emission. We will discuss these contradictions. We will also discuss the picture of Jevicki et al where the duality map is nonlocal between the L and R wedges. Under such a map one can use the eternal hole to compute thermal averages, but not to argue for a dynamical picture of wormholes.
