Description |
In these lectures we introduce Drinfeld's Yangian algebra and discuss some of its applications in physics. Starting from its origins in two-dimensional models, we explain the role of the Yangian in the context of quantum groups and the Yang-Baxter equation. Finally, we illustrate how the Yangian finds its way into the AdS/CFT duality and four-dimensional N=4 super Yang-Mills theory. |
