Indians have made fundamental contributions to the evolution of Digital Technology: Semiconductors, Microelectronics, Optical Networking, Computing, Telecom and the Internet. The talk will highlight a few of them.

About the Speaker:

Prof. Shivanand Kanavi studied Theoretical Physics at IIT Kanpur, Northeastern University at Boston and at IIT Bombay. He was Economic Consultant during 1984-1991 and Executive Editor of India’s pioneering Business Magazine, Business India during 1992-2004. During 2004-2013, he was with the Tata Group in the capacities as the Vice President of TCS (2004-2010) and Global Head Marketing and Strategic Communication of CMC Ltd. He writes on History, Philosophy, Political Economy besides Business and Science and Technology in Business India, Rediff.com, Prajavani etc.
