Description |
Our Universe is full of astonishing phenomena, ranging from highly energetic and violent astrophysical events involving accreting compact objects to the formation of complex molecules in cold, dark molecular clouds. Understanding these processes is one of the main goals of modern astrophysics and astrochemistry. Due to the complexity and large degrees of freedom involved in these events, analytical solutions are often not feasible, and a numerical approach is the most viable option. The spectral simulation code CLOUDY, one of the most widely used numerical codes in astrophysics, can be effectively employed for this purpose. In my talk, I will discuss CLOUDY models for several such environments, including novae, tidal disruption events, and molecular clouds. |
