Dressed magnons in symmetric spaces and dressed Wilson loops on S^2

by Dr. Chrysostomos Kalousios (Humboldt University, Berlin)

Monday, May 2, 2011 from to (Asia/Kolkata)
at Colaba Campus ( A-304 )
Description
The dressing method uses the integrability of a system and allows the construction of new classical string solutions from old ones. I will explain how the dressing method works and I will then apply it in the context of the AdS/CFT correspondence to two interesting and different problems, giant magnons and Wilson loops. The talk will be based on my recent work.
