Description
Even if new physics is beyond reach of LHC direct searches it can be probed in indirect deviations of SM rates. Using the predictive power of the effective field theory approach, we present a physical parametrization of the leading effects beyond the SM (BSM), that give us at present the best way to constrain heavy new-physics at low-energies. We show that other BSM effects are not independent from these ones, and we provide the explicit correlations. This approach tells us which deformations have already been constrained at previous experiments at LEP and which will be measured for the first time at LHC. This information is also useful to know where to primarily look for new physics at LHC and future experiments. We also discuss the expectation for the size of these effects in some popular BSM models.
