This meeting is aimed at discussing advances in the seismology of the Sun and stars. The high-quality observations of the Sun and stars being taken by the SDO and Kepler space missions make this an exciting time for the field. The goal is to explore methods to improve the understanding and interpretation of these data. It is also an opportunity to strengthen the newly formed Max Planck Partner Group, a collaboration between the Tata Institute and the MPI for Solar System Research.
