Description
"Enzymatic reactions are the best examples of chemical reactions in confined molecular pockets surrounded by the enzyme molecules. Chemists have been paying attention to mimic such natural process by using chemically designed confined pockets (Molecular Vessels). Chemical reactions in confined nanospace have drawn special attention due to several advantages compared to bulk reactions like: entropic benefit, enhanced effective concentration, stabilization of transition state by the building blocks of the molecular vessels. Design of 3D molecular architectures having hydrophobic pocket including the use of their confined nanospace for catalytic organic transformations will be discussed in my presentation. "
