Description |
The Sachdev-Ye-Kitaev (SYK) model, is a quantum mechanical model involving N Majorana fermions with random interactions. It is a solvable model at large N which also saturates the chaos bound. In this talk, I will describe a 1+1d generalization of SYK model which retains the solvable aspects of the original model. The model contains N fermions at each lattice site, with a nearest neighbour hopping term along with random interactions, and gives rise to a rich variety of IR behaviours. |
