On the dynamics of Near Extremal Blackholes

We analyse the dynamics of near-extremal Reissner-Nordstrom black holes in asymptotically four-dimensional Anti de Sitter space (AdS4). We work in the spherically symmetric approximation where the system can be analysed in a two-dimensional model. The system has a linear specific heat close to extremality and out of time order correlators satisfy the chaos bound. We explore whether at low energies, these features can be obtained by analyzing the near horizon AdS2 region with a boundary. In particular, we try to capture these features using an effective Schwarzian action corresponding to time reparametrisation modes at the AdS2 boundary.
