Interacting Gravity waves; Semiclassical Image of the Event Horizon

Description
This talk has two parts: (i) We examine the interaction of gravity waves with scalar and neutrino fields and find a new propagating mode in the perturbed fields. We discuss the implications of the results for gravity wave detection on Earth, cosmic neutrino background and multimessenger astronomy. (ii) We study semiclassical corrections to the recently discovered event horizon telescope image of a black hole. We find that despite the Planck length origins of the corrections, there are tangible corrections to the photon orbits, which might be detected in future sensitive images of the event horizon.
