Description
Distribution amplitudes (DAs) appear within the collinear factorization of hard exclusive processes. The more familiar parton distribution functions (PDFs), in the parton model, have a probability interpretation, while DAs correspond to lightcone wavefunctions. We have computed the lowest Mellin moments of these non-perturbative objects for pseudoscalar mesons and octet baryons in Lattice QCD simulations and, for the first time, obtained continuum limit results, giving us insight into the longitudinal structure of these hadrons.

Recently, it has been suggested to "directly" compute PDFs, starting from hadrons at large momenta in Euclidean spacetime. Such methods can also be applied in the case of distribution amplitudes. I will comment on these efforts.
