India+ lectures on Heavy Ion Collision experiments
This seminar series is aimed at students interested in the phenomenology of heavy ion collisions, as well as heavy ion scientists at all levels.
For each topic we plan to have a speaker from each of the collaborations at LHC and RHIC. We would like to cover the similarities and differences between the detectors in terms of hardware and therefore in experimental analysis and physics results.
The talks will be of 60 minutes duration followed by 30-45 minutes of discussions. The talks will be held on the Zoom platform and will be recorded and uploaded later on the web. Future talks will generally be held on Thursdays starting at 6:30 PM India time [10:00 PM Tokyo, 9:00 PM Beijing, 4:00PM (Israel), 3:00 PM Geneva (DST, GMT+2), 9:00 AM New York (EDT), 6:00 AM Seattle (PDT)] The first talk in the series was on October 13, 2022.
(2) Global Analysis
(3) Flow and its fluctuations
