Description Solenoidal Tracker at RHIC (STAR) is designed to register and identify particles produced in relativistic heavy-ion collisions in order to explore the properties of QCD matter at extreme temperatures and baryon chemical potentials. STAR provides opportunity to measure various global properties of collision, such as transverse momentum of identified particles and yields, momentum anisotropy, global and local hyperon polarization, spatial and temporal properties of particle-emitting source, etc. In this talk, a selected set of global measurements and its physics implications will be discussed.
