Flow, nonflow, and flow fluctuations at CMS

Description This seminar talk will discuss the results on flow, nonflow, and flow fluctuations obtained from CMS experiments at the Large Hadron Collider. Flow is a phenomenon observed in heavy-ion collisions, where the collective motion of particles produces an anisotropic distribution in momentum space. Nonflow refers to momentum correlations that arise from sources other than collective motion, such as resonance decays or jet fragmentation. Flow fluctuations refer to the event-by-event fluctuations in the flow signal. The talk will cover the analysis techniques used to extract flow signals, the method for reducing nonflow, as well as the measurements of flow fluctuations, in different collision systems and centralities from CMS data. The talk will also discuss the implications of these results for our understanding of the properties of the quark-gluon plasma.
