Recent jet physics in Heavy-Ion collisions at RHIC

Description
A jet, correlated spray of hadrons generated in nuclear collisions, is considered as a self-generated tomographic probe for the Quark-Gluon Plasma (QGP) created at the Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider, in BNL. The jet properties are modified in the QGP relative to that in vacuum, and this produces very striking evidence of the QGP. Recent results from jet measurement, in the STAR experiment, like directphoton tagged jet, h+jet, and di-jet, provide a deep insight of the parton energy loss and its redistribution within the medium. I will also discuss recent progress in understanding the uncorrelated jet background and underlying events   in the heavy-ion collisions.
