Description |
The Large Hadron Collider Beauty (LHCb) experiment is one of the four large experiments located at the LHC at CERN. It is a general purpose detector in the forward region able to detect and identify charged and neutral particles between 2 to 5 units of pseudorapidity. The LHCb collaboration has a diverse program to study different configurations of hadronic collisions: proton-proton, proton-lead and lead-lead, in its collider mode; and proton-gas and lead-gas, in its unique fixed-target configuration. In this talk, LHCb contributions to the study of these systems will be covered, focusing on event characterization techniques with observables such as centrality and particle multiplicity.
